Samsung Washer Error Code 4C — Water Supply Error
What this means
The 4C error code is the newer Samsung designation for the same issue as 4E — the washer is not receiving adequate water supply. Samsung updated their error code system around 2015, with 4C replacing 4E on newer models. The causes, diagnosis, and fixes are identical.

Step-by-step fix
4 stepsCheck the water supply valves
Ensure both hot and cold valves behind the washer are fully open. Turn counterclockwise to open.
Sometimes one valve gets accidentally bumped closed when moving items near the washer.
Inspect and straighten inlet hoses
Check both inlet hoses for kinks, bends, or pinching. Straighten any kinks and ensure hoses have a gentle curve — no sharp bends.
Leave at least 4 inches between the washer and the wall to prevent hose kinking.
Clean the inlet mesh filters
Turn off water supply valves. Disconnect hoses from the washer. Use pliers to remove the small mesh screens from inside the valve inlets. Rinse under running water. Reinstall and reconnect hoses.
If you have hard water, these screens should be cleaned every 3–6 months.
Verify adequate water pressure
Samsung washers require minimum 0.5 bar (7.25 PSI) water pressure. If your home has low water pressure overall, it may not fill the washer quickly enough.
Try running the washer at a time when no other water-using appliances are running.
When to call a professional
If supply is clear and pressure is adequate but the error persists, the water inlet valve inside the machine may be electrically faulty and need replacement.
