Step-by-step fix

Press the START/PAUSE button. The washer may attempt to rebalance the load and resume the cycle automatically.
Redistribute the load
Open the door and redistribute the laundry evenly inside the drum. Avoid washing a single heavy item like a comforter without balance items.
Add a few towels when washing a single heavy or bulky item to help balance the drum.
Level the washer
Use a bubble level on top of the washer. Adjust the leveling feet by turning them clockwise to raise or counterclockwise to lower. All four feet must be in firm contact with the floor.
After adjusting, push down on opposite corners of the washer to confirm it does not rock.
Check for shipping bolts
If the washer was recently installed, check the back panel for shipping bolts (usually 3-4 bolts with plastic spacers). These must be removed before use.
Keep the shipping bolts in case you need to transport the washer in the future.
