The dH FL code appears on certain newer LG washer models and indicates a flow issue in the drain system. The washer's flowmeter is detecting an abnormality in how water is draining. Step-by-step fix
3 stepsClean the drain pump filter
Open the access panel at the lower front of the washer. Drain residual water using the small emergency drain hose. Unscrew and clean the pump filter, removing any debris, coins, or lint.
Check the drain hose routing
Ensure the drain hose is properly routed — not kinked, not looped higher than 96 inches, and inserted no more than 8 inches into the standpipe. The hose should have a gentle downward slope.
Inspect the flowmeter sensor
If the physical drain path is clear, the flowmeter sensor on the drain line may be malfunctioning. This sensor is located in-line with the drain system. Disconnect and inspect it for debris or damage.
This is a less common part to fail — address physical clogs and hose routing first.
