Bosch Dishwasher Error Code E15 — Water in Base Pan (Leak Protection)
What this means
The E15 error is Bosch's AquaStop leak protection activating. Water has been detected in the base pan underneath the dishwasher. This could be from a loose connection, cracked hose, or worn door seal. The dishwasher will not operate until the water is removed.

Turn off the dishwasher at the circuit breaker and close the water supply valve under the sink.

Tilt the dishwasher to drain the base
Carefully pull the dishwasher forward and tilt it back about 45 degrees (you'll need help). Water will drain from the base through the front. Have towels ready.
Some people tilt it to the left side instead — either direction works. The goal is to drain the float switch area.
Dry the base pan and reset the float switch
With the dishwasher tilted, use a sponge or towels to absorb remaining water from the base pan. The float switch should reset once the water is gone.
The float switch is a small styrofoam block that rises with water — once the water is gone, it drops back down and clears the error.
Find and fix the leak source
Before pushing the dishwasher back, inspect all hose connections, the door gasket, and the sump area for signs of the leak. Tighten any loose connections.
Run a short cycle with the kick plate removed and a flashlight handy to spot the active leak.
