Bosch Dishwasher Error Code E10 — Heating Circuit Fault

Professional Repair 45–90 minutes Tools: Multimeter, Torx screwdriver set

What this means

The E10 error indicates a problem with the heating circuit — the dishwasher is unable to heat water to the target temperature. This can be caused by a failed heating element, a faulty temperature sensor (NTC), or a broken wire in the heating circuit.

Step-by-step fix

3 steps
1

Power cycle the dishwasher

Turn off the breaker for 5 minutes and restart. Run a hot wash cycle to see if water heats.

Feel the door during the wash cycle — it should be warm to the touch if the heater is working.

2

Test the heating element

Unplug the dishwasher and use a multimeter to measure the heating element resistance. It should read between 10–30 ohms.

An open circuit (infinite resistance) means the element is burned out.

3

Test the NTC sensor

Measure the NTC temperature sensor resistance. At room temperature it should be approximately 50,000 ohms.

If the sensor reads far outside this range, replace it.

When to call a professional

Heating element replacement requires disassembly of the sump area. Professional repair is recommended.
