Samsung Washer Error Code UE — Unbalanced Load
What this means
The UE error code indicates your Samsung washer has detected an unbalanced load and cannot spin safely. This is one of the most frequent Samsung washer codes and is usually not a malfunction — it just means the clothes inside are bunched to one side of the drum.
Alternate codes: UB, U6, Ub
Step-by-step fix
3 stepsRedistribute the laundry
Open the washer door and manually rearrange the clothes so they are evenly distributed around the drum. Avoid washing a single heavy item (like a comforter) alone — add a few towels to balance the load.
Bulky items like blankets and jackets are the most common cause of this error.
Check the load size
Make sure the washer is not overloaded. The drum should be no more than 3/4 full. Also avoid very small loads (a single pair of jeans, for example) as these also cause imbalance.
Washing similar-weight items together reduces the chance of this error.
Level the washer
If this error happens frequently with normal loads, the washer itself may not be level. Place a bubble level on top of the machine. Adjust the leveling feet at the bottom by turning them clockwise (to lower) or counterclockwise (to raise).
All four feet should be firmly touching the floor with no wobble.
When to call a professional
If the error persists with properly balanced, normal-sized loads and the machine is level, the suspension rods or shock absorbers inside the drum may be worn. This requires professional repair.
