Samsung Refrigerator Error Code 75E — Family Hub Camera Error

Easy Fix 10–20 minutes Tools: None (initially)

What this means

The 75E error code is specific to Samsung Family Hub models equipped with interior cameras. These cameras photograph the inside of the fridge each time the door closes, allowing you to view contents remotely via the SmartThings app. When this error appears, one or more cameras are not capturing images or have lost their connection to the display module.

Alternate codes: 75C

Step-by-step fix

4 steps
1

Power cycle the refrigerator

Unplug the unit for 5 minutes, then restore power. Wait for the Family Hub to fully boot (2–3 minutes) and check if the cameras start working.

Open and close the fridge door, then check the Family Hub screen for updated photos from inside the fridge.

2

Clean the camera lenses

Locate the small camera lenses inside the fridge compartment (usually 1–3 cameras at the top of the refrigerator section). Wipe them with a soft, dry cloth to remove condensation or food residue.

Condensation from humidity frequently clouds the lenses. A dry wipe usually fixes blurry or black camera images.

3

Check camera settings

On the Family Hub touchscreen, go to Apps > Fridge Manager > View Inside. Verify the cameras are enabled and not disabled in settings.

If the app shows a black screen for one camera but the others work, that specific camera unit may have a hardware failure.

4

Factory reset the Family Hub

If cleaning and rebooting do not fix the camera error, perform a factory reset to eliminate software issues. Go to Settings > About Family Hub > Factory Data Reset.

If the error persists after a factory reset, the camera hardware inside the fridge needs replacement.

When to call a professional

If the cameras do not function after cleaning, rebooting, and factory resetting, the internal camera module needs physical replacement. Contact Samsung support or an authorized service center.
