F11

Frigidaire Oven Error Code F11 — Shorted Key / Stuck Button

Moderate Repair 20–40 minutes Tools: Phillips screwdriver, Clean dry cloth

What this means

The F11 error on Frigidaire ovens indicates the electronic oven control (EOC) is reading a continuous signal from the touchpad, as if a button is being held down. This can be caused by a stuck key on the overlay membrane, moisture behind the control panel, a damaged touchpad circuit, or a failing EOC board.

Step-by-step fix

4 steps
1

Reset the oven

Turn off the circuit breaker for 2 minutes, then restore power. If F11 clears, a moisture or static event likely caused a false trigger.

If F11 appears only when cooking produces heavy steam, the issue is likely moisture infiltration behind the overlay.

2

Check each button

Press and release every button on the touchpad individually. Check if any feel stuck, gummy, or fail to spring back. Clean around each button with a slightly damp cloth.

Cooking grease from stovetop use can drift up and coat the control panel over time.

3

Disconnect the overlay to isolate the fault

Disconnect power. Remove the rear control panel screws. Disconnect the touchpad ribbon cable from the EOC. Restore power briefly — if F11 still appears with the touchpad disconnected, the EOC is faulty. If it clears, the touchpad is faulty.

This isolation test is the best way to determine which part to order before spending money.

4

Replace the faulty component

Replace the touchpad/overlay if it tested as the culprit, or replace the EOC board if the fault is internal. On many Frigidaire models, the touchpad and overlay are sold as one piece.

When replacing the overlay, apply it carefully without air bubbles — wrinkles can cause future button issues.

When to call a professional

If you are unsure about the isolation test or uncomfortable removing the control panel, a technician can quickly identify the faulty component.
